Game Summary
Not only is Game 13 the second game of the HBs double header, it’s also the team’s final game of the regular season. And the HardBallers would like nothing better than to end the season on an up note with a win.
But with the infield soaked and the threat of more passing thunder showers, a game seemed probable at best. If you recall, the HardBallers’ previous game that afternoon had to be called after 5 innings because of heavy sustained rain and the threat of lightning.
A half hour before game time, the rains had tapered off, and the infield had begun to drain. Whether or not the game should be played would be a call for the league commissioner. And with the HBs opponents trickling in, a decision was made shortly before game time. The decision was that the game would be postponed due to threat of rain and thunder showers.
At press time, a make-up date for this match-up was not released.
